The six participants in the FIH World Cup Qualifier in Lille (October 31 to November 8) have a vast range of World Cup experience: from top seeded Pakistan who have participated in all World Cups so far (11) and boast an impressive collection of medals, to Italy with only one modest appearance thirty years ago. In between, Poland (6 times), Japan (4 times), Russia (3 times) and France (twice) have all seen World Cup action but have never stepped on the podium.
